Mo\u017ee sadr\u017eavati kuhane ili sirove plodove mora i povr\u0107e, a izvana se posipa ribljom ikrom i sezamom. Za vegetarijance ili one koji se ne usude probati sirovu ribu postoje verzije s krastavcem ili avokadom. Uz maki rolice mo\u017eete kombinirati razli\u010dite umake, a njegove najpopularnije ina\u010dice su hosomaki i futomaki sushi.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Nigiri sushi<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Nigiri se smatra najkvalitetnijom vrstom sushija zbog velike koli\u010dine sastojaka koji se koriste prilikom pripreme. Priprema se od ri\u017ee ovalnog oblika na koju se pola\u017ee tanko narezana sirova riba. Sushi majstori \u010desto stavljaju wasabi umak izme\u0111u ri\u017ee i sirove ribe, a po vrhu posipaju mljeveni luk i \u0111umbir. Ovaj oblik sushija ne sadr\u017ei alge, a u prijevodu zna\u010di \u201crukom stisnuti sushi\u201d.\u00a0<i>\u201chand-pressed sushi\u201d<\/i>.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Sashimi sushi\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Za pripremu sashimi sushija koristi se svje\u017ea riba (naj\u010de\u0161\u0107e tuna ili losos), razli\u010dite vrste meku\u0161aca i nori alge. Riba koja se upotrebljava mora biti svje\u017ea i ne smije stajati dulje od 24 sata nakon ulova. Za savr\u0161enu vizualnu prezentaciju stavlja se na listove daikona ili japanske rotkvice, a uz nju se ne servira ri\u017ea.
