En garde: Spookily scrumptious swordfish
Swordfish is a predatory fish not to be trifled with. Just a glance at the shape of its head indicates that, but also offers a self-explanatory answer on the origin of its name. On our menu however, this apex predator becomes gentle and enticingly attractive. As such, it won’t put you into danger, but rather have a positive effect on your health and longevity
This is one of the world’s largest fishes with a mass that can reach up to 600 kg and a length of four meters and more. It definitely deserves the title of superpredator as its size doesn’t affect its speed and agility, which makes it superior even to much larger prey. In addition to being notoriously difficult to catch, the annual quota is strictly regulated and requires special permits. Therefore, many have been left deprived of the health benefits hidden under the specific taste resembling more of meat than of fish. Fortunately for you, in our restaurant swordfish is served daily, regardless of the season.
Think pink
Low in calories and rich in essential amino acids, mono and polyunsaturated fatty acids, minerals and vitamins, swordfish is perfect for the heart and circulatory system. It’s also a great source of rare vitamin K and selenium – nature’s most powerful antioxidant – and therefore excellent for sportsmen, recreationists and those desperate to lose weight without the torture of restrictive diets. You’ll know fresh swordfish by pink meat. If the color is pale, run away from the fish market and visit us.
Smoke signals lead to Adriatic
Smoked swordfish, our chef’s specialty, will open all of your chakras faster than a sword. Precisely due to the smoking process we can offer you swordfish as nutritious as fresh regardless of the hunting season. But above all, the fish tastes so divinely you’ll wish to come and fall on its sword time and time again.
There’s no need to be a predator in order to get the best catch. All the best pieces already wait for you at the Adriatic Sushi & Oyster bar!
