Spend a night at the Adriatic Sushi & Oyster bar catered by renowned chef Ippei Uemura
The end of the season may be close, but that doesn’t mean the enjoyment of top-quality delicacies is ending. Taste the Mediterranean festival, taking place in October, will once again gather renowned, award-winning local and foreign chefs. On this occasion, chef Ippei Uemura will prepare an exclusive four-course dinner for all lucky guests at the Adriatic Sushi and Oyster bar.
The festival of Mediterranean food
It has been a top-notch year, not solely due to the most successful tourist season ever. This year we’re celebrating ten years since the first Taste the Mediterranean festival took place and the entrance of the Croatian Mediterranean diet under UNESCO’s protection as Croatia’s intangible cultural heritage. Thirty chefs and 15 distinguished speakers will attend the jubilee edition of the festival as guest chefs in 20 restaurants in Split. A splendid team of guest chefs will cook side by side with the local ones. The focus will be on educating the young generation of professionals, and each day will end with four-course dinners in the best restaurants in Split. We are proud to announce our participation in this event and so honored to host chef Ippei Uemura who will make a sensational four-course dinner for our guests.
An extensive culinary experience
This Japanese chef with a French address was born in Shigi and started cooking in 1995. He has been perfecting Japanese culinary techniques for seven years in Kumamoto. Love and respect for ingredients from the cuisines of the Mediterranean and French Provence make the base of his gastronomic vision, yet he faithfully adheres to Japanese culinary techniques. After education and training in fruit and vegetable carving, dietetics, and the life cycle of kitchen products, he opened the Tabi restaurant in Marseille, a proud owner of Michelin Recommendation and the three Gault & Millau toques with a score of 15.5 out of 20. This expert is also part of the Open Sushi France jury, and his masterclasses are globally popular. He likes to jam with his rock band in his free time, and we’re positive you’ll be swept off your feet by his positivity and cheerful personality as much as by his delicacies. We’re so excited to meet him, won’t you join us?
Witness the culinary craft of a true virtuoso! Book your table in our restaurant for Wednesday, October 5, and indulge in the masterpieces of the chef who has found the tastiest ways to fuse the best of French and Japanese cuisine.
